BOOKING CONDITIONS

Booking Conditions

1) Albatross Villas (the company) is a booking agent providing holiday accommodation only. We are not responsible for flights, car hire or any other facilities. Albatross Villas will recommend certain qualified companies on request of the client.

2) Payment: A deposit of 20% of the total accommodation cost is due when making the booking unless the booking is made less than 8 weeks prior to departure, when the full amount due is payable. The balance of the accommodation cost is due 8 weeks prior to departure. If the balance is not paid, the deposit will be forfeit and your reservation cancelled.

3) Cancellations and Amendments: If you wish to cancel your booking after the agreement has been signed, you must notify this in writing by first class post. The date of the cancellation will take effect upon the date of receipt of the notice. Most cancellation can be covered by your own personal travel insurance. All deposits are non refundable. Once the full amount has been paid, if you need to cancel the holiday up to a month before the start of the rental period we will refund half the total amount you have paid. Thereafter the whole amount is forfeit. If you wish to change your booking after the agreement has been signed, we will do out utmost to make these changes but it will not always be possible and could result in the cancellation charges referred to in this clause. Any request for changes to be made, must be made in writing from the person who made the booking. You will be asked to pay an administration charge of £20 per person plus any costs we incur from our suppliers in making this alteration.

4) Breakdowns and Complaints: No responsibility can be accepted for the breakdown of public supplies including water or electricity, or any amenities out of the company’s control. However, every effort will be made by the company to rectify the problem, acting on behalf of the client.

5) Albatross Villas will not accept liability for personal injury, death, loss, damage arising from the provision of letting the accommodation.

6) It is the tenant’s responsibility to exercise due care and attention in relation to the accommodation together with all fixtures, furnishings and fittings provided. The accommodation should be left in the same state of cleanliness and condition, as it existed at the start of your holiday. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the refundable breakage deposit and extra charges made to the tenant above the amount held, if necessary.

7) Albatross Villas will not take responsibility for building work in the neighbourhood or close proximity of the rental accommodation. You will be advised at the time of booking if it is known to the company of any building work close to the property which could affect the enjoyment of your holiday.

8) Albatross Villas offers a high standard of accommodation. Should the tenant feel that the property is not satisfactory, we require you to inform the resort manager on the day of arrival. Should you fail to tell the resort manager we are not responsible for any matter which you did not bring to their attention during your holiday. If the problem can not be resolved locally when on holiday, to comply with the EU legislation, all complaints must be received in writing within 28 days of your return. Under no circumstances will Albatross Villas, enter into any negotiations for claims of compensation whilst the tenant is on holiday.

9) Albatross Villas makes every effort to ensure that the information supplied to you is correct. Any information given to you with regard to the resort, complex, accommodation and its contents is given in good faith and is believed to be accurate. Albatross Villas is not liable for any inaccuracies contained in any supplied information. Should any facility not be available due to factors outside the company’s control, then the company does not accept responsibility.

10) Photographs used in information supplied to you are intended to give an overall impression of the accommodation, complex or resort. Albatross Villas is not liable for any items of furniture and contents, which appear in the photographs, which may have been changed or removed or any aspects of the complex or environment, which have changed since the photographs were taken.

11) The arrangements for holidays are made many months in advance in some cases and occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances it may be necessary to make changes to those arrangements. In the unlikely event of such changes arising we will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible. However, occasionally we have to make a major change which may involve in changing your accommodation to a similar classification. If this is not possible we will offer you a choice of either accepting new changed arrangements, or cancelling your holiday and receiving a full refund of all monies paid. Albatross Villas can not accept liability for any compensation when the above changes have to be made. Our commitment to you will be to offer the best alternative to the holiday you originally booked with us.

12) With regards to accommodation, Albatross Villas acts as the appointed representative to selected villa, townhouse and apartment owners and or their local agents or companies offering holiday accommodation abroad, and act on their behalf. All bookings are accepted on behalf of the above and are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by individuals / companies, which are available on request and are also subject to Albatross Villas terms and conditions. The accommodation will be reserved for the number of people stated on the booking form. No other persons shall be allowed to stay in the accommodation without proper notification to Albatross Villas and further payment made. Failure to notify may result in the party being evicted from the accommodation. Due to our high standard of accommodation we do not allow pets in any of our properties.

13) Cots, High Chairs – Albatross Villas, at its sole discretion, will provide cots and high chairs for infants, on request, at a cost of £20 per week.

14) I declare that I am over 18 years of age and have read, understood, accept and agree to the above booking conditions.
