Surfing at Baleal
The region is renowned for its superb Atlantic waves attracting surfer from across Europe. There is something for everyone here catering for beginners to seasoned surfers. The area offers a wide variety of type of wave, the favourite being the Superturos.
At Baleal there are plenty of places to hire boards, wetsuits and take surfing lessons. Baleal beaches are patrolled by lifeguards however swimmers and surfers not used to the tremendous Atlantic surf should always observe the Safe and Danger flags.

Based at Baleal, run surf lessons and hire out equipment, as well as provide experienced tutoring and guidance. They offer a range of different packages for all ages and experience.
Their basic (excluding accommodation) being:
5 days of surf lessons, 2 sessions a day, 2 hours per session, transfers included
2 video sessions

Each week you will have 5 days of teaching, 2 surf sessions a day. Everyday they will take you in search of some great waves for your level. So usually you don’t surf 2 days in a row at the same spot, the tutors are always changing beach which allows you to get to know the area of Peniche better.
