The sailing school Escola De Vela Da Lagoa is positioned on Obidos Lagoon; the lagoon is ideal for water sports activities. Between Foz do Arelho and Praia d’el Rey the sailing club offers a wide variety of activities such as, windsurfing, waterskiing, wake boarding, kite surfing, catamarans, optimists and canoes. The lagoon is open to the sea but protected from the Atlantic waves making it an ideal location for beginners and experienced sailors.
The school has a first-rate tutoring set-up catering for all ages. For parties with six or more it is possible for them to arrange to meet you on the Praia d’el Rey side of the lagoon which saves the detour around the lagoon to Foz. The school has all sorts of boats, boards and equipment for hire.
