Charlie Webster - Managing Director
Charlie Webster (aged 23), is Managing Director of Albatross Villas Limited. In his first year at Brighton University, studying law and Business, Charlie became seriously ill and returned back to home recuperate at his parents in Norfolk. After wondering what to do at home, he started renting his parents villa on a resort in Portugal called Praia D'El Rey. After a few successful bookings he subsequently decided to build a small website to accommodate more properties and try and make a business from it.
Over the last few years he has developed the company into a sucessful Holiday Rentals, Property Sales and Villa Consultancy business. In 2008 he was a finalist for the EDP Young Entrpreneur Awards which duly caught the attention of an editor for the Daily Telegraph. On October 5th they published an in-sightful article about himself and the company in the Business section of the Sunday Telegraph (see news page). Although Charlie struggles daily with his illness, he strives to promote the Silver Coast as a holiday destination and great place to live.
Emma Sargeant - Holiday Rentals
Emma has been working for Albatross Villas for only a short time after giving up her full time job in Affiliate Marketing. She worked with some of Europe's Largest Online Gaming Clients and spent time travelling and working from her base in Norwich. Before working in the Online Marketing world, she spent 5 years managing Restaurants in Norwich so she has experience in many sectors, Emma's passion lies in customer service and feels that clear and personal interaction with clients goes a long way.
Emma now looks after the Rental properties for Albatross Villas and plans to extend the portfolio somewhat. Emma and Charlie regulary travel to the Silver Coast to meet new clients and have a base in Norwich and in Portugal. The Albatross Family is a very close one and it's really something being part of it.
Elsa Carpinteiro - Legal & Administration
Elsa, a Portuguese citizen, started working for Albatross Villas in October 2007. Originally a registered Portuguese Lawyer, Elsa now looks after our legal contracts for sales transactions and real estate agreements. She is a very important link between languages and helps us to communicate with the local Portuguese and translate documents, although we have all promised to be fluent in Portuguese by the end of 2009!
Elsa is now living back home in Caldas da Rainha. However, it has been a long journey to return back home. She decided to move to England with her boyfriend in 2005. Of all places, they decided to settle in the small city of Norwich. Here she became a full time restaurant manager. After a meeting in September 2007 with our lawyer in Portugal, where we had asked if she knew of anyone looking for work and had legal experience, she mentioned her friend Elsa. It was then that we realised Elsa only lived 100m away from us back home in Norwich!! After subsequent meetings back in Norwich, Elsa decided to return home to Portugal and become part of the Albatross family.
